Smartphone Cybersecurity Tips.

Some #Smartphone #Cybersecurity tips : Will KISS (Keep it short & sweet) this one :
By Easytech4all.net

1.Only #download #apps u need.Check the Star rating , recent reviews and user comments beforehand.

2.Use #ProgressiveWebApp or simply web app services instead of native apps wherever possible.coz it conserves the battery and cpu resources..plus takes care of #privacy issues as native #apps request a lot of permission.Use web apps for #makemytrip #flipkart #paytmlite #flipboard #forbes ..Basically most #ecommerce #hotel & #travel #booking services have decent #browser powered #pwa or #webapps .

3. #Adfree Apps from tech giants like #Microsoft #Google etc are always better and preferable..For example use #msoffice for #android instead of other #ad prone office apps.

4.Do not rely heavily on #OTP based 2FA(two factor #authentication ) . Use Google Microsoft or Authy #Authenticator apps to generate codes on ur device.

5.We all love #Cloudcomputing . But looking at the recent breaches i do not trust the cloud services that do not support 2FA like Google Microsoft or Authy Authenticators to generate codes on device..not just mobile otp . So personally prefer #offline non #server based #data #sync and #backup . Like #LG mobile default data backup , Samsung mobile #usb backup or #huawei default data backup facility.
#Lenovo Sync , #Resilio and #Android #Helium data backup also serves the purpose.Take frequent backups of ur data.

6.Use samsungs securefolder & knox , Huawei safe folder and ES file explorer/SSE omega file/folder encryption to store/encrypt your confidential & sensitive data.Samsung uses bank level 256bit encryption for secure folder and knox.SSE omega also supports 256bit encryption protocol.

7.Finally use 2 Smartphones & mobile numbers / Emails.
one for all your banking and financial transactions , Government services etc . Other for your office & professional work.

8.Do not click on unnecessary & suspicious links in emails or messaging services.Always use search engines to investigate a little.

Just Google d terminology that u don’t comprehend or comment below.

Thanks.Stay Alert & Safe.

Cellphone Hacking on the rise. What needs to be done.

#Hackers #Spammers have been targeting cellphone users for quite sometime now..If u receive a phone call from some random number like this +12645109740 etc..which looks like #voip #call please make sure u do not answer..Well you won’t get hacked just by answering..what happened was at around 22:52 hrs indian time i answered this call and an automated Female voice at the other end said in Hindi that she is not able to hear my voice and requested me to call back. Now here is the exploit..”Never call back”..Block the Number using your #smartphones default feature and also on Truecaller..do not forget to tag the number appropriately using keywords #spam , #hack #danger #Donotanswer etc..Share it on social media…People have been receiving such calls from #Africa #Russia etc..

Privacy Tips :

1.Do not share your primary phone number you use for banking on social media..Have an alternate.

What u need 2 know :

All a hacker needs is your phone number :
